Hello 4th Grade!!!

Today our journey begins. You will be traveling with me around the world to see things that none of us could imagine by ourselves. These are the things that will shape our minds as we learn from endless points of views. In each port I will have the chance to find things to share with you in many different ways. I will write to you on this blog, send artifacts in the mail for you to inspect, share picture of things I see, and hopefully connect to you through videos. One event that you will be a part of is Neptune Day! This is the day that our ship crosses the equator and traditionally the students aboard shave their heads. I have planned to partake in the festivities and shave my head! A few other adventures will be riding through the Sahara on a camel, going on a safari in South Africa, and hiking the Great Wall of China. I will also get a chance to stay with a Moroccan and Japanese family. We will be able to find out what a typical day in their lives is like. Maybe even ask them questions that you come up with. I am ready to have you tag along and get to know you as we learn about the world together.
